TRAINING COURSES

1-day basic media training programme (max. 2 participants) – introduction to how the media work and what they expect, developing key messages, preparing for interviews, short role-play sessions.

2-day media training course (max. 2 participants) – first day as above (basic media training), programme second day based on client's selection of specific modules (cross-border communication, creating key messages, improving interview techniques, crisis management, preparing for press conferences, etc), role play sessions on both days.

1-day advanced media training programme (max. 2 participants) – refresher course with main points of basic media training plus in-depth work on improving key messages and extensive role play sessions in a variety of situations (option: cross-border communication).

½-day media training, follow-up/refresher session (one-on-one)

1-day training for PR staff (max. 2 participants) – analysis of how the media work and what they expect, developing key messages, guidelines on how to write effective press releases, dealing with journalists (option: cross-border communication), role play sessions.

1-day (1/2-day) presentation training – how to plan and structure subject matter, create audience rapport, build confidence and credibility, control tension. Plus practical tips on microphones, flip charts, etc.

1-day group training – formulating collective and effective key messages (agreeing priorities, combining in-house expertise), effective communication of messages, role play sessions.

½-day workshops (maximum 5 participants):

  • writing for the internet
  • preparing, writing and distributing press releases
  • formulating and communicating key messages
  • presentation training

MEDIA PANEL – interactive discussion panel and Q+A session with international journalists. Two-hour programme with networking opportunity.

All U2Media training programmes are prepared to fit the specific needs of the client. At the end of the training session all participants are given a summary of main points, a list of recommended books for follow-up reading and a personal evaluation.
